This rule addresses pre-defined trade item groupings with pre-defined content. A change to the pre-defined number of trade items contained in a pack or case (i.e. trade item grouping) requires assignment of a new GTIN to the changed level and all impacted levels above. A change to the quantity of cases in a pre-defined pallet configuration requires assignment of a new GTIN.
