GS1 France hands over the Parangon data pool to one of its partners
Agena 3000 is the new operator of Parangon. GS1 France will keep on supporting GS1 GDSN.
GS1 France now focusing its efforts on product data
The maturity of the French market now allows GS1 France to pass on Parangon and direct its efforts towards the new territories of product information (traceability, voice marketing, image recognition, etc.).
Since 2004, GS1 France supports the development of the GS1 Global Data Synchronisation Network (GS1 GDSN®) market, the global network of standardised product data exchanges. In 14 years as Parangon's operator, GS1 France has enabled the emergence of a competitive market of interoperable technological solutions adapted to the needs of companies of all sizes.
"GS1 France will continue supporting the development of GS1 GDSN"
François Deprey, CEO of GS1 France, states that "GS1 France will continue supporting the usage and development of GS1 GDSN, both in France and abroad and will pursue its activities of certification of solutions for the market and for the quality control of exchanged data on the GS1 GDSN network. We will also seize this opportunity to reinforce our mission of accompanying our members on the very dynamic and innovative field of product information".
