Orla Darly

Orla is a dual Irish/Canadian citizen with a legal and regulatory background. An MA graduate in Medical Ethics & Law (King's College London), she is impassioned by the question of how the law should deal with the advances in medical science and technology, and the regulatory challenges this poses. Currently a policy assistant at the European Commission, she is working on the implementation of the new Medical & In-vitro diagnostics Regulations with a focus on market surveillance and Unique Devices Identification. She has previously worked on an independent government review in the UK and at London-based MedTech startups.
